The Chapel Bells resumes this week on Wednesday August 12 from 6-7pm. Knowledge of music is helpful but not required - you might be surprised at how many of us "circle our notes"!
We usually have the Fellowship meal at 5:30 then head to handbells at 6pm and on to adult choir practice at 7pm. Our adult choir is amazing - so much talent in a group of about 18 each Sunday is striking. Come and join us as we've lost three strong voices three handbell ringers to graduation and college life. Shirley Karrick leads both handbells and adult choir as well as serving as organist for FPC. You cannot be around Shirley without smiling, so fun at bells and choir is pretty much a given. Hope to see you there.

Children's Chimes and Choir
Children's Chimes for kids ages 8 years and up begins its first full season on Wednesday August 12th at 5:00pm. Musical knowledge/experience is not a requirement to play the chimes - leader Donna Houston will teach you what you need to know.
Children's Choir is also starting up again on Wednesday at 5:30pm. Kids ages 8 years and up are encouraged to come and spend half an hour singing and learning about the Bible and God's role in our daily lives. Donna Houston also directs this choir.
We always make room for pizza and soft drinks (at no cost to the kids) so please make every effort to be part of these new programs at our church.

Wednesday Connection Resumes this week
The fall term of Wednesday Connection begins this week at 5:30 in Fellowship Hall. The meal is $6.00 and checks should be made to Woon Yen Prall. This week's 6pm speaker is Clara Sumner, CEO of the Medical Center of Franklin. Our local hospital is a real gem and we look forward to having Clara here to tell us about the new building project that's underway.

Battery Operated CD Player
Wanted to see if anyone from the church would happen to have a good battery operated CD player that we could use Sunday at the baptism. Katherine has requested a song off a CD to be played at the baptism.
